Moreover, we're not even sure that a recall referendum in 2016 is going to happen, as that's a difficult road for the opposition to hoe. Thus, if Snowden could get to Venezuela, he would have at least a couple years before having to consider whether to seek asylum elsewhere. Thus, I'm still not quite sure what the great "danger" to Snowden would be there. What would be so unsafe about having at least a couple years before having to look for asylum elsewhere? Do you have a better idea for Mr. Snowden?
