Another immigration poll

From Borderline: more numbers contradicting the Republican strategy on immigration. A new poll of likely Republican voters revealed that:

--75% favor the comprehensive plan, when described thoroughly, even though 39% thought it did qualify as "amnesty" and 66% said they were "less likely" to favor a path to citizenship after witnessing immigration protests

--60% said they would likely vote for a candidate supporting a comprehensive plan; only 46% said they would likely vote for a candidate supporting a House-type plan.

--Only 23% said that what Congress does between now and November on immigration would influence their votes.
